Childhood and The Invisible Plague

John was a serial killer and is serving a life sentence. His left arm is deformed and smaller. When his father died, a relative told him the truth about his arm. His stern religious father caused the deformity by severe beating.

Frank is an artist whose left eye was blinded by a ricocheting pellet. When he was two years old, an uncle who was playing with him pulled the trigger of an airgun which he didn't know was loaded. His inferno didn't end there. After that, his father became cranky at home and angry with Frank's mother, partly blaming her for the accident. The father also started having a hard time showing affection for Frank since everytime he sees Frank's blind eye, he was reminded of the 'stupidity' of people and of the accident. Frank grew up confused and tortured by his father's attitude.

'The evil stupidity that created him.' That is a line from a crime fiction book of Caleb Carr and he was referring to stupid parents. And I bet you know or met one psycho or serial killer without even knowing it. FBI agent Robert Ressler first unveiled the "Serial Killer Profile" concept in 1984. He said many serial killers displayed a history of a troubled childhood which resulted in characteristics such as:

    came from a dysfunctional family
    were abused mentally, physically or sexually
    often were abandoned by father, raised by domineering mothers
    usually hated their parents

Noticed that those points relates to parents or caregivers? Because I see mismanaged children and juveniles everywhere, I have to fight the urge to hate them like their stupid parents do (while I was writing this, I was hearing a stupid mother berating her child saying the same things over and over again like a psycho). Just about a month ago, the eldest of six siblings who is about 15 left their house and never wanted to come back. They live nearby in a one-room house as semi-squatter -- products of a teenage marriage. 

I'm always itching for a fight with those who oppose Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health. So if you're one of them like senator Sotto of Manila, just ask me and you might just get what you wish for.
